The bridge between radio loggers
and Ethernet or GPRS networks

The collector enables measurement data from different data loggers to be called up via an Ethernet IP address or a GPRS connection (GSM network), and transmitted to a secure server.

  • This removes the need for you to travel to the site to call up the data there.
  • The solution replaces the PC + USB receiver or PLC + MODBUS key solutions.


Includes a licence for RF Monitor GOLD: multiple tempmate.®-R radio data loggers can write their measurement data from different installation sites via multiple collectors into the same database.

How does it work?



Graphic collector
  • The radio data logger is fitted with a sensor and transmits its measurements to the collector.
  • The collector then transmits the measurements to a central database, either via the LAN network or using GPRS.
  • A real-time alarm can be sent to relevant personnel at any time.
  • Personnel have access to the measurement data at all times, via the internet.

  • PFPN-COL11-001: GPRS interface, power supply via mains plug (indoors only)
  • PFPN-COL51-001: GPRS interface, power supply with solar panel (outdoor use)

Database

The database format is MySQL. The database can be located on the user’s server or on the tempmate.®-R server. This graphic shows the size of the database required, dependent on the number of radio loggers that transmit their measurements, and the measurement frequency. This estimation applies to one year’s worth of data. Furthermore, data can be saved (backup) and then deleted from the database, or you can simply continue. (Disk space requirements increase proportionally.)

2.) The DB Monitor software on a PC

  • Measurement data is displayed using the DB Monitor software from tempmate.®-R.
  • Multiple people can access the data simultaneously, irrespective of whereabouts in the world they are
  • Access is protected via ID and password

Database location

The database is in MySQL database format. The database can be kept on Newsteo’s server or on the customer’s own server.

Real-time alarm

Email: The server can send an email alarm as soon as the measurement values fall outside the specified threshold values.

Secure data transmission

The collector communicates with tempmate.®-R’s remote server in ‘point to point’ mode, which considerably reduces risks within the network.
tempmate.®-R has developed private data encryption at the first level (information packets that leave the collector and return there from the server).
Only port 80 is used.

The collector works on the basis of its own private operating system, and doesn’t use Linux or any other publicly available operating systems. As a result of this, and apart from very restricted communication capacity with the tempmate.®-R remote server, the device doesn’t contain any generic server functions that could enable third parties to penetrate the customer’s private network.
